In general, vital records are not kept in the U.S. until the early 1900s. Vital records usually contain the full name of each participant in the event, the date of the event and the community, state or city where the event took place. Many important records contain much more information. The National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records (NPRC-MPR) is the repository of millions of military personnel, health and medical records released and deceased veterans of all services during the 20th Century. NPRC (MPR) also stores medical treatment records of retirees from all departments, as well as treatment records for relatives and other people on the lake medical facilities.
